Authors submitting to OncoDaily Medical Journal (ODMJ) are expected to adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct. The following guidelines outline the responsibilities and requirements for authors.

Authorship must comply with the criteria established by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). All listed authors should have made substantial contributions to the conception or design of the study; data acquisition, analysis, or interpretation; drafting or critical revision of the manuscript; and approval of the final version for publication. All authors must agree to be accountable for all aspects of the work.

Authors are also required to provide a CRediT author contribution statement, specifying each author’s individual role in the research and preparation of the manuscript. The inclusion of guest, honorary, or ghost authors is strictly prohibited.

Any form of assistance, including medical writing, statistical support, or the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools, must be clearly disclosed in the manuscript. Generative AI tools may be used only to improve language and readability, and authors must specify which tools were used (e.g., ChatGPT or Grammarly). AI must not be used to generate, alter, or fabricate scientific data or figures and cannot be listed as an author. Authors remain fully responsible for the transparency, accuracy, integrity, and originality of the manuscript.
Submitted manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. Prior dissemination in the form of preprints or conference abstracts is acceptable but must be disclosed at submission. Duplicate or redundant publication is not permitted unless explicitly justified and approved.

All research involving human or animal subjects must have received appropriate ethical approval. Studies involving human participants must comply with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki, and informed consent must be obtained for all identifiable data or figures. For research involving biological materials, authors must clearly state the source of the material, confirm donor consent, and provide details of ethics committee approval.

For studies involving animals, authors must confirm compliance with recognized standards for humane care and use of animals in research, such as the ARRIVE guidelines, and national regulations (e.g., Directive 2010/63/EU, U.S. PHS Policy, or local equivalents). Authors should state the specific protocol number and the institutional oversight body.
Authors are required to ensure the integrity of all figures. Any manipulation that could misrepresent results is strictly prohibited. Adjustments such as brightness or contrast must be disclosed, and original data should be retained for editorial review if requested.

Data transparency is strongly encouraged. Clinical trial authors must provide a data-sharing statement and ensure that trial registration details are included in the manuscript. Where applicable, datasets should be deposited in recognized public repositories and made accessible for verification (e.g., GEO, ArrayExpress).

All clinical trials must be registered in a publicly accessible WHO Primary Registry or an ICMJE-approved registry before the enrollment of the first participant. The registry name and registration number must be included in the manuscript.

Systematic reviews and meta-analyses should be prospectively registered in PROSPERO or another appropriate publicly accessible registry, such as the Open Science Framework (OSF). Scoping reviews may also be registered in OSF. The registry name, registration number or identifier, and a link to the registered protocol must be provided in the manuscript. Any deviations from the registered protocol must be clearly explained.

Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest, including financial, personal, or professional relationships that could influence the work. These disclosures will be published alongside accepted articles. Submissions may be declined if conflicts raise concerns about impartiality.

By submitting to ODMJ, authors agree to comply with these guidelines and contribute to maintaining the integrity and reliability of the scientific record.
