OncoDaily Medical Journal (ODMJ) is pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with the GI Cancers Alliance, marking an important step toward deeper scientific collaboration in gastrointestinal oncology.
Through this partnership, ODMJ will welcome contributions from GI Cancers Alliance members, particularly within its 2026 Special Series on Gastrointestinal Oncology, co-chaired by two internationally recognized leaders in the field: Yelena Janjigian, Chief of Gastrointestinal Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and Filippo Pietrantonio, Head of the GI Unit at Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori, Milan, Italy. The collaboration is intended to create new opportunities for academic exchange, strengthen multidisciplinary dialogue, and support the dissemination of high-quality content focused on gastrointestinal malignancies.
As part of this agreement, OncoDaily Medical Journal will also serve as the official scientific journal of the GI Cancers Alliance. In this role, ODMJ and the Alliance aim to establish a long-term collaborative framework for publishing scientific contributions and developing special issues together, with a shared focus on advancing knowledge, education, and discussion across the GI oncology community.
The partnership also creates opportunities for broader engagement between the two organizations. GI Cancers Alliance members may become involved in ODMJ-related editorial activities, panel discussions, events, and other collaborative initiatives across the wider OncoDaily ecosystem.
Updates related to the partnership, including joint activities and future initiatives, will be communicated through both OncoDaily and GI Cancers Alliance channels. This coordinated approach will help ensure visibility for collaborative projects and foster stronger connections across the global GI cancer field.
This announcement reflects a shared commitment to building stronger scientific and professional networks in GI oncology, while creating platforms that connect research, education, and collaborative discussion.
