Event Overview
The National Undergraduate Oncology Conference (Northwest) — NUOC Northwest 2026, titled ONCO X, was held on 25 April 2026 at the Liverpool Guild of Students in Liverpool, United Kingdom.
Bringing together nine student societies from four universities across Northwest England, the conference was built around the theme “From Early Life to End of Life; Exploring the Under-Explored.” The programme aimed to introduce students and doctors to less commonly explored areas of cancer care and encourage greater interest in oncology.
The conference brought together speakers and workshop leaders from oncology, pathology, radiology, surgery, paediatrics, palliative medicine, and allied health professions, emphasizing the multidisciplinary nature of modern cancer care. More than 70 participants attended the meeting, which was directed by Ineesh Kundu, a fifth-year medical student at the University of Manchester.
NUOC Northwest 2026 was supported by Northwest Cancer Research, partnered with the Royal College of Pathologists, and received CPD approval from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH).
