Copyright and Licensing

OncoDaily Medical Journal is an open-access journal. All research articles are freely available online immediately upon publication and are licensed to allow broad reuse, in accordance with the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

This page explains our copyright and licensing terms for:

  • Scholarly articles
  • Other content on this website (non-article content)

Copyright Ownership for Articles

  • Authors retain copyright in their articles.
  • By submitting a manuscript and, if accepted, publishing with OncoDaily Medical Journal (P53 Inc.), authors grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish, distribute, and promote the article as the version of record.

We do not require the transfer of copyright from authors to the publisher.

License for Articles (CC BY 4.0)

All scholarly articles published in OncoDaily Medical Journal are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

Under this license, anyone is free to:

  • Share – copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format;
  • Adapt – remix, transform, and build upon the material;
  • For any purpose, including commercial use,

provided that the conditions of the license are met, including:

  • Giving appropriate credit to the original author(s);
  • Providing a link to the license; and
  • Indicating if changes were made.

The full legal code of the CC BY 4.0 license is available at: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/

No additional contractual or technical restrictions are imposed by the journal beyond those in the CC BY 4.0 license.

Commercial Use

Because the journal uses the CC BY 4.0 license, commercial reuse of articles is permitted as long as the terms of the license are followed (proper attribution, link to license, indication of changes, etc.). We do not require further permission from the journal for lawful commercial reuse of articles covered by CC BY 4.0.

Self-Archiving and Repositories

Authors are encouraged to deposit any version of their article (submitted manuscript, accepted manuscript, or published version of record) in institutional or subject repositories, personal websites, or other platforms, without embargo, provided that:

  • The original publication in the OncoDaily Medical Journal is properly cited, and
  • The CC BY 4.0 license is clearly indicated for the published version.

Third-Party Material Within Articles

Some articles may include figures, tables, images, or other content that is not owned by the authors (e.g., previously published material, images reproduced with permission, or content under a different license). Where such third-party material is included:

  • This material may be subject to different copyright or license terms; and
  • Any restrictions will be indicated in a credit line in the article (for example, “Reproduced with permission from…”).

Users wishing to reuse such third-party material must comply with the specific terms or seek permission from the rights holder where required.

Non-Article Content on the Website

The following items are considered non-article content:

  • The website’s design, layout, and underlying code;
  • The OncoDaily Medical Journal and P53 Inc. logos and branding;
  • Non-scholarly editorial content such as general announcements, marketing materials, or other text not identified as a scholarly article.

Unless otherwise indicated, non-article content is:

  • © 2024 P53 Inc.
  • Protected by copyright and not covered by the CC BY 4.0 license used for articles.
  • May only be reused as permitted by applicable law or with prior written permission from P53 Inc.
