The Asia and Middle East Society of Therapeutic Radiation and Oncology (AMSTRO) has shared a preview of its inaugural AMSTRO Newsletter – Volume 1, Issue 1, highlighting key moments from the AMSTRO 2026 Global Oncology Conference, held in Dubai, UAE, from February 6–8, 2026.

The issue features leadership perspectives, scientific and educational highlights, award-winning research, regional initiatives, and discussions focused on advancing cancer care across Asia and the Middle East. The conference brought together more than 1,350 participants, including both in-person and virtual attendees, and featured keynote lectures, scientific sessions, panel discussions, and poster presentations.

The newsletter also highlights major conference recognitions, including the inaugural AMSTRO Gold Medal awarded to Prof. M. Saiful Huq and the AMSTRO Silver Medal presented to Dr. Hamda Salem Al Neyadi, alongside poster awards across radiation oncology, medical physics, and radiation therapy technology.

The preview offers an early look at AMSTRO’s first publication, which also includes selected abstracts, educational content, early-career perspectives, and the organization’s vision for strengthening multidisciplinary and equitable cancer care.
